Watch the Film! David Loyie’s story is part of a series of short films on hydraulic fracturing in Alberta.
David Loyie identifies with the indigenous population and worked in oil and gas for 43 years. He has many concerns about the transient culture that exists in his community of Slave Lake. He fears that with this come and go lifestyle, there is no connection to the land or what happens to it. He has seen changes in his community since the oil and gas industry has developed and has concerns for what we are leaving for future generations.
